Best of 2021

As 2021 draws to an end we can’t help but look back at this past year and reminisce about the projects we completed. Here is a look back at a few favorites!

Weekapaug Residence

Every family dreams of having that perfect destination home. A place where everyone can gather together and enjoy those long summer days. The Weekapaug Residence became just that for our clients. Located in a coastal town in Rhode Island, the beach was the main source of inspiration for the overall design. This family of eight wanted a space that felt open, airy, and fun. We achieved this through using a combination of neutrals and pops of color along with a sense of whimsy through patterns and textures.

The family room was an especially unique space. This is a versatile area, whether the family is watching tv, playing a board game, or using it as part of the outdoor entertainment, this space can transform quite easily. In order to have this room feel like part of a coastal retreat we used elements such as a jute rug, soothing color palette, and an exposed wood ceiling. Even the slipcover sectional allows for easy clean while, not sacrificing a unique design. Many prints and patterns were applied to create a fun environment, like the blue leopard print pillows, the causal poufs and the sectional’s upholstery that alludes to wood grain or a geode.

All these elements came together beautifully to create a coastal retreat. A place where a family can have fun, relax and truly enjoy one another's company.

Nothing says family fun like a trip to the beach!

Brenton Cove Residence

Newport seems like the perfect place to escape the hectic city life. The beaches, restaurants, and thrilling water sports are just a few things that brought our clients to the area. Being a young couple from Boston, our clients wanted a space that felt both chic and comfortable to share with friends & family. We were able to incorporate their vibrant personalities into the design through the use of rich colors, modern patterns, and sleek finishes. One of our goals was to allow for unobstructed views of Brenton Cove from all angles, which we were able to achieve in the new floor plan layout.

The living room is the perfect space to gather with loved ones, host a party, or even relax after a long day. The focal point of the room is really the stunning fireplace wall. The deep wine red geometric print wallpaper adds an overall drama to the space. The red is a great contrast to the cooler rich blues of the sectional and area rug, which add a subtle hint of nautical and coastal colors. This design utilizes many elements of traditional decor but, with a modern twist. The small blue accent table appears to be a fabric table cloth however, the piece is actually a sculpted solid form. The chandelier also alludes to a traditional chandelier, however the sleek lines and shades make it feel like a contemporary piece.

This space feels sophisticated yet fun, which is exactly how living in Newport should feel!
