Behind the Scenes: A Work in Progress
While the end result is never short of amazing, the life cycle of our projects can be A ROLLERCOASTER. Join us as we take you behind the scenes of one of our current projects- #TheHammersmithHOME.

Step 1: Conceptual Design
For full service design projects, the design process begins with the conceptual design stage. After the design agreement is signed, conceptual design begins. Perhaps our favorite phase in the design process, the Maloney Interiors team curates design boards for each room in the project. These design boards consist of inspiration images, layouts, color pallets, material, furniture, and décor suggestions to create a design concept. They also help to identify a solid direction for any construction that will take place. The design boards for #TheHammersmithHome are an eye-catching peek at the final product- and a fun contrast to the construction shots to follow.

Step 2: Demo
The majority of our full service design projects involve remodeling- and therefore begin with demo. From removing old flooring, relocating walls, knocking out old cabinets and more, this step in the process is certainly messy but is essential as it allows us to bring our clients’ dreams to life and optimize their home for their needs + wants. While demo and construction overall can be stressful, we handle all project management for our clients ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish.
Step 3: Construction
During the construction phase, the project really begins to come together. The results of our countless design decisions to select the perfect finishes from tile to shower trim begin to come to fruition during this step!
Next up… furniture install + final touches! We can’t wait to share the final reveal of #TheHammersmithHome with you later this year. Stay tuned :)
