When it comes to hiring an interior designer, there are lots of questions to consider. However, one of the most frequent we’ve heard lately is what type of design service to choose. With people spending more time at home than ever, it is no surprise that many are considering redecorating or a remodel. At Maloney Interiors, we offer two distinct interior design packages to bring your decor dreams to life- Full Service Design and LUXE Design.
Full service design
Whether you’re considering new construction or a remodel, or simply redecorating a few rooms, we manage your project from start to finish with our Full Service Design package.
We begin working together during the earliest stages of the project, consulting and planning for all that your project will entail. The Maloney Interiors team handles the entire design process, including the purchase of all product and material on your behalf. Whether you’ve hired a general contractor or the production is being run though us, we remain active throughout the construction phase, making regular visits to the construction site. Once construction is complete we handle the installation of your furnishings and décor. Our active participation throughout the entire process ensures that our detailed design is executed precisely as envisioned.
While we love taking on construction projects, not every home makeover requires demolition. A creative eye and talented team of designers and installers can transform any space. Our interior decorating and styling services are a great way to complete a single room or whole home makeover. The Maloney Interiors team will work diligently to select, procure, and install your fine furnishings and decor- including furniture, window treatments, textiles and wall coverings, upholstery service, lighting, artwork, accessories and decor.
The process
Each Full Service Design project begins with a complimentary introductory call, during which we introduce ourselves and learn a little bit about you and your project. Like what you hear? Next step is a consultation appointment. Our consultations are usually held at your home, however if your project is new construction we welcome you into our showroom and office space. This initial appointment allows us to begin your project with our best foot forward, giving us the opportunity to get to know each other and to fully understand what your project will entail. Once we’ve completed our consultation we will present our design agreement, you sign on the dotted line, and we’re off and running!
After the design agreement is signed, conceptual design begins. Perhaps our favorite phase in the design process, the Maloney Interiors team will bring together inspiration images, layouts, color pallets, material, furniture, and décor suggestions to create a design concept. We also use this phase to tackle the necessary tasks of documenting the existing conditions in your home and measuring the space. If construction is necessary, our talented tradesmen are brought in to provide estimates so that when we present our conceptual design, we’re not only showing you something beautiful- we’re also presenting the investment estimate to complete the project. We’ll work together to determine if any changes or adjustments need to be made to our conceptual design. Then our team is back to work!
During the detailed design phase of our Full Service Design package, the Maloney Interiors team works to perfect your project- making any necessary revisions to the conceptual design and beginning to build upon it. We will develop any drawings, documentations or specifications necessary for the build-out of the space. We’ll also refine and finalize the fine details that make each project, each room, and each piece of furniture special and unique. Once our design is complete we will meet with you to present our final design for your approval.
The final step is execution- the most exciting and rewarding of the entire process. We will create a timeline and coordinate our tradesmen and vendors. The Maloney Interiors team manages and executes all purchasing, production and installation for the project. We oversee everything so that you don’t have to worry about tracking orders, receiving deliveries, inspecting product, directing the many subcontractors, or completing the installation. Our job isn’t complete until the last piece of artwork is hung and the last object is placed on the right shelf- we’ll be there every step of the way to make sure that the final product is just as you envisioned it, and we’ll be there to welcome you home!
Luxe design
If you seek a stylish space professionally designed and decorated by an interior designer but enjoy executing the design yourself our LUXE Design service is the perfect fit! We provide you with a fabulous design and the tools and guidance you’ll need to install and style the room with confidence. The LUXE Design package includes a scaled floor plan with furniture layout, elevation drawings, a mood board with inspiration images, color palette and select furnishings, and a shopping list outlining all items for your project with links to stores for purchasing. The cost per room is $2,500. LUXE Design is a great service for any room in your home, including living rooms, master bedrooms, kitchens, and more. LUXE Design can be completed virtually, in person, or a hybrid of the two- whatever best suits your needs!
The process
We begin with an introductory phone call to get to know each other, discussing both your project and the LUXE Design process in more detail.
After our initial chat, we’ll send you a follow up questionnaire to collect important information about your project and style preferences. This will help guide our design and ensure that your new space reflects your personality and style. Next up, the Maloney Interiors team will visit your home to measure the space and document the existing condition. Then it is time to design!
Our designs are thoughtfully curated to reflect your personal taste and style. We select all of the items you’ll need to create a fabulous room- including furniture, decor, wallpaper, and lighting. Once the Maloney Interiors team has completed your design work, we provide you with all the tools you’ll need to transform your space. We send you our design, along with guidelines on where to buy the items we’ve selected and how to set up your space.
